Welcome to Secret Puzzle ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Because our service does not require user accounts, we inherently collect very little data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how quickly we delete it.

2. What Information We Collect

• Images and Messages: When you create a puzzle, we temporarily collect the image and the secret message you provide.
• Player Names: If someone solves your puzzle, they may choose to enter a display name for the leaderboard. This name is not verified and can be entirely anonymous.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your uploaded image and message strictly for one purpose: to generate the interactive puzzle and host it so that the person you share the link with can play it. We do not use your images for marketing, nor do we sell them to third parties.

4. Data Retention (Automatic Deletion)

We believe your data shouldn't sit on the internet forever. All puzzles automatically expire 48 hours after they are created.

Once a puzzle expires, an automated system on our server permanently deletes the image, the hidden message, and the associated leaderboard scores from our database. This action is irreversible.

5. Third-Party Services and Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements that help keep this service free.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your usage of our site and the internet.
• Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK will be presented with a consent banner allowing them to accept or reject personalized tracking cookies before they are loaded.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. Because we do not have user accounts and all data is wiped automatically within 48 hours, your data is inherently erased in a timely manner. If you need a puzzle deleted immediately before the 48-hour timer ends, please stop sharing the link; the puzzle will vanish shortly.
